other things that could be done is pay ecuador money to help the people and previde them equiptment, such as clothes, schools ect, then they should ash the people that live there if they want them to and if they say yes they could ask for some of the money that they make from doing it

I think that paying people not to drill for oil is only necessary in extreme circumstances, so i think that other countries could convince or make a deal with Ecuador to stop the drilling rather than using money that could be used elsewhere to better communities and help the poor/needy.
ReplyDeleteThey should pay Ecuador because other wise you are killing nature and animals that you might only find in jungles and places like that.But also because there are people who live there and call it home so you can't destroy their homes because of oil, but if you did destroy their land they cant speak the same language and wont know how to comoprite with people.And oil is bad for the environment and can be dangerous.

ReplyDeleteI don't think that Ecuador should be paid to not drill oil as they should just stop drilling anyway as it is affecting the environment and the people that live there. Instead of paying them to stop drilling they should sign a contact saying that they should not drill for a certain amount of time then they can look at the vegetation, if they has been a change then they stop drilling but if there is no change then they can carry on.

I think Ecuador should be paid to stop drilling as many people will benefit. To also stop drilling the area should be protected by the government, and no one should have to pay money.

I think that the other contries are doing the right thing. They are stopping the countryside there being ruined, killing many spiecies. They could use other methods to get oil, or dig in other places.

i think that rich countires should pay as the other countries are not well off enough to pay so cournties who have the money who have the power should step and take part in stopping the oil drilling. Ecuador are getting 3.6million where as if they didnt pay ecaudor to stop drilling they would have got less money in the first place. on the other hand the counrties who have payed Ecaudor are loosing money and there for it is not fair. they should not have tp pay to save the enviroment the drilling company should have already stopped it as they already have a massive oil plant in Alaska, Prudhoe Bay.

I dont think rich countries should pay Ecuador to stop drilling because even though their rich it isnt fair. They should sign a contract involving no money or drill somewhere else instead even though we need oil for alot of things.

ReplyDeleteI Think it's a great idea to pay Ecuador, it ensure's a trust that cannot be broken and it helps the world enviormentally aswell. Also the nature in that rainforest could hold creature's we never knew lived, and their are villager's with a unique culture background. We should respect this and not ruin a natural area that has done no harm.

I dont think they should be allowed to drill as it will ruin the rainforest resulting in loss of animals and the natives known environment.The money to stop them from drilling is like a bribe and should be given to the natives to help improve their quality of life.

I dont think Ecuador should be payed for not drilling as they must be able to see the damage and dangers around the world and if they keep drilling for oil it might result to be another danger around the wildlife. also the rich countries could pay towards new equitment that allows them to with draw oil if needed in a safer and more enviromental way.

As Ecuador's economic system is very poor the money will boost their economy. If the oil was to spill in Ecuador then it could have disastrous effects on the wildlife.

I think it's one of the best idea's to pay ecuador. Think of how our world could be changed with this treaty over one of the world's most extrodinary places.

I think it is good that rich countries are paying eduador not to drill as it could ruin there wildlife and animals that live there. But on the other hand it could give them alot of mo ney which would make there country richer. But to be honest money shouldn't be involded and the richer countries money should be use for something else.
