Happy Half Term

Dear Learners,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a good half term and say a big well done for a fantastic start to the year. It has been a busy start with lots happening, including Open Evening. The department received lots of compliments and comments about your excellent work - so thank you and keep it up!

Lessons have been busy and the teachers have been really positive about the progress you are making and the attitudes you are showing to learning. The picture above shows a year 8 lesson that was looking at Synagogues and encouraging learners to use their team working and self manager skills (two of the PLTS) - they have produced some superb work, which will be going on display straight after the holidays.

If you are interested in the history of Halloween then why not click on the link to read all about it - perhaps you could leave a comment about your ideas and views?

We would also like to know if you have any ideas about the trips you would like to go on? The best idea will win a prize!

Have a great holiday and stay safe,

Miss Fox and the Humanities team.
